OUR APPROACH |
Lavelle Consulting Group offers affordable grant prospecting, grant proposal writing and research. Our Firm will ensure that your business needs are met by developing a clear understanding of your goals for each project. Initially, we conduct information gathering session(s) with key personnel to determine an organization’s development needs, then and customize our services to meet those needs. Each project is treated with equal importance: not "cookie-cutter" formulas for grant proposals or government contracts.
PROCUREMENT SERVICES |
Governmental entities (and many non-governmental entities) have procurement departments, which are responsible for initiating the process to obtain goods or services from businesses. To “procure” these items, companies release documents called Requests for Proposals (RFP) or Requests for Quotations (RFQ) aka “bids”, which request a response from various companies as to how they can fulfill a need. RFPs typically require a detailed synopsis of your business, qualifications, and why you are the most “responsible, responsive bidder”. Allow us to respond to RFPs and RFQs, coordinate submission of the paperwork, and follow-through until you receive your award.
PROPOSAL WRITING |
Fees range from $3,500 - $6,500, depending on the complexity of the grant and the time needed to complete assignments.
FOUNDATION / CORPORATE PROPOSALS |
Comprehensive search of foundation / corporate giving sources for a single project concept; draft a foundation letter proposal; and prepare applications to the 5 best sources identified in the search for a fee of $6,000, or the 10 best sources for $7,000.
GRANT SOURCE RESEARCH / PROSPECTING |
Customized grant source research is available for any project concept. This may include keyword searches of data bases of federal grant programs and foundation/corporate giving sources, as well as Internet research of local/state government sources. Fees range from $2,500 - $4,500, based on the project concept and scope of the search.
RETAINER AGREEMENTS |
Under this arrangement, a monthly retainer fee is set, usually in the $5,000 - 9,000 range. We are available to provide comprehensive services including grant source research, alert clients to grant opportunities, prepare proposals, participate in brainstorming sessions with client staff, conduct presentations and any other related assignments. This is your most cost-effective option because clients purchase unlimited advice and consultation at the fixed amount during the agreed upon timeframe. The retainer is due at the start of each month and there is a three-month minimum. Expenses are billed separately.
HOURLY FEE |
Complete editing of client-prepared proposals, as well as technical assistance and consultation is available on a hourly basis. The hourly rate is $150 per hour, with a ten-hour minimum payable in advance. A mutually agreed upon not-to-exceed amount may be set to complete assignments or provide ongoing assistance ($9,000 minimum). A deposit of 50% is required before work begins, the balance is billed at a time that is mutually agreed upon. Expenses are billed at cost, plus 10%, and include such items as overnight delivery service, copying and production of submission documents. While Lavelle Consulting Group, LLC usually works electronically, if a client prefers an on-site scoping meeting, travel time and estimated expenses will be billed in advance.
